Pack N’ Go Movers Frequently Asked Questions

The short answer here is everything! Except our packaging materials such as boxes and tape. But again, that is only if you decide to go with our packaging services.

You will be charged an hourly rate depending on the number of movers required for the job which we will agree upon in our contract prior to transporting your belongings. There is no extra charges unless you are utilizing our packaging services, which we will charge boxes and materials according to use.

The clock starts when we leave our office and ends when every item is off of our truck and at it’s required end destination.

We accept cash, check and all major credit cards.

Yes we have a 2 hour minimum charge (most moving companies are 3 hours)

We just ask that you contact our office at least 24 hours in advance from your scheduled move and cancel your move or reschedule. You will not be charged anything if you provide notice within the 24 hour window.

We accept payment once the move is completed.

It is totally up to you whether you would like to tip the movers or not. Tips are not expected but are greatly appreciated!

Absolutely! Some packing items are completely free while some are provided at an additional cost. We can help determine which is best for you!

Yes we do! Our Labor only services would be perfect for you!

Absolutely! Our crews come with basic tools to help disconnect and reconnect appliances and bed frames for every move! Unfortunately, we do not disconnect or connect gas appliances for liability reasons.

Not always, but sometimes they do. If they do stop for lunch they will be sure to “stop the clock” that way you are not billed for any lunch time.

We use 24ft and 26ft box trucks that have lift gates and ramps for safe and easy loading/unloading.

We can typically fit an 1800 sq ft home into one of our box trucks depending on the size and number of items per each home. We are magicians when it comes to packing the truck!

We usually recommend at least two weeks in advance that way you give yourself enough time to plan efficiently for your move. We do however, do same day moves if needed based upon our availability.

We love our pets! But we know from experience that moving day can stress them out. So we encourage that you have a pet sitter or make sure you have a closed room (preferably an empty room) for them in the home where they can stay undisturbed by us movers.

For safety reasons, it’s best to empty your clothes from your dresser drawers. Most dresser’s were not designed to be moved with the added weight of clothes in them. Doing so can cause your dresser to break.

Yes! For the protection of your fridge shelves and doors we ask that all food/items be removed from your fridge and freezer. The fridge is typically one of the last things to be loaded on the truck and one of the first things to be offloaded at the end destination. We recommend you keep a cooler close by for all perishable items.

Yes we do ask that your filing cabinets be emptied before your move to decrease any risk of damage to your filing cabinets. We can help you with organizing your files if needed!

There are some things we can not take for liability and legal reasons. Also, we can not climb up to your attic to obtain your valuables for liability reasons. Some of the things we can not move are:

  • Valuables such as cash and jewelry
  • Medications
  • Weapons/Ammunition
  • Paint
  • Large Plants
  • Explosives
  • Flammables
  • Grand pianos
  • Items exceeding 600 lbs.

Yes, Yes and YES! We wouldn’t do a move without it!

First and foremost, we do our best to give all of your items special attention and care! But if you have any worries about us moving anything that holds sentimental value to you, please tell us before the move! We will bring extra supplies to make sure these items are WELL PROTECTED and safe for transport.

Typically, we can keep moving during bad weather but it always depends on the situation at hand. We will never move something if the client feels the weather could damage their valuables. And we keep every item padded and wrapped to protect it from elements such as rain, hail or snow. But in the case of major weather events such as icy roads, terrible winds, thunderstorms and dangerous high heat indexes; We reserve our right to reschedule your move or bring on additional movers to expedite your move.
